Is housephotos.org safe?
Yes, our site is very safe. The site uses a custom script developed specifically for this website. The only way someone can access a house picture is if they have the exact address or location.
Is it really legal for you to take a picture of my home?
Yes, images of private property taken from public property are legal. We follow legal codes to insure ethical business. All images on this website are taken from public property unless submitted privately by the homeowner.
Will you remove my listing?
Although not legally bound to remove any entry, we will usually be happy to remove any listing at the homeowners request. Please remember that having your house listed assists emergency, delivery, and personal entities.
Is viewing house pictures free?
Yes, searching for and viewing a house photo is free of charge.
Will you come to my neighborhood?
The housephotos.org goal to to eventually document every house in the county that can be photographed from public grounds. If your street has not yet been listed check back in a few weeks to see if progress has been made.
Why would someone want to remove their listing?
Any old lady with 16 cats who has never heard of the internet would more then likely ask us to remove her listing. Do not request us to remove your listing on the street, instead use the Concern tab on the site. The housephotos.org application increases safety because it allows emergency services to lookup your house picture for easier response. If someone wished to lookup your house for criminal purposes it would be no-less then driving by your home. The only way a record can be searched is by typing in correct address information. Your record will never be accessed by your name or any other details.
Is housephotos.org an organization?
No, housephotos.org is a project developed by lucrative web savvy entrepreneur Andy Laws. The .org extension seemed most appropriate whilst choosing the domain name.
What are your plans for the site?
One day we plan to have an open-source allowing for residents to post their house pictures directly and instantly on the site from all over the United States.
